A popular binding technique used here at Same Day Printing London is Spiral Binding.
Spiral binding is a binding technique where several holes are punched through each sheet universally, and a metal or plastic coil is inserted through those holes, creating a multitude of things from booklets to brochures.

At Same Day Printing London, we offer spiral binding under our same day umbrella, meaning you can rest assured if you need a spiral-bound booklet or brochure on the same day. Spiral binding has always been a common choice among our clients because of its various benefits; for one, it allows the pages to move around freely in a 360-degree fashion. This makes it useful for note-taking, planning, etc. Another is its ability to handle massive document sizes; spiral binding really allows you to make books with hundreds of pages, whereas saddle stitch/staple binding falls short.

Furthermore, at Same Day Printing London, we are known to use high-quality inks and highly accurate printers, which would ensure your printed sheets come out looking exactly the way you imagined them. And because of our experienced staff, we can handle a lot of jobs, so even when it’s busy, we can ensure your spiral bound product will be printed and ready to go on the same day.

 CUSTOMISATION OPTIONS

sizes which go along with our spiral binding are A6, A5, and A4, however custom sizes are also welcome. These three classic sizes provide a decent amount of preference for our clients, whether you need something small like an A6 compact guide, or something larger, like an A4 notebook, nearly need can be covered by choosing from these three sizes. Moving on to our spiral options, we offer plastic and metal options depending on your budget and taste. Plastic provides a good balance of price and longevity, whereas metal enhances the longevity part.

Our paper options start from 120 gsm matte paper all the way to 170 gsm gloss, and custom options are always welcome as well. As for your cover for your booklet, we provide three main options: the first is self-cover, meaning the cover and pages are made of the same material. The next is 250 gsm silk paper, which provides a cover-like feel to the customer. The final, most premium option is 350 gsm silk, which provides a hard cover-like feel.

Artwork Guide

To prepare the artwork for spiral bound products, make sure your document is the correct required size, and make sure there is a 5mm bleed along the edges of all pages. Additionally, ensure to use the CMYK colour profile for accurate printing. Regarding photos, ensure they have a resolution of 300 DPI or above, and save them as a high-quality PDF with embedded fonts. Avoid key information close to the spine, as it may look distorted due to the spine. Double-check alignment of all elements, spelling, and image quality. At Same Day Printing London, we are always here to assist you with anything.
